- Security camera footage of the LAPD shooting of mentally ill Norma Guzman last September was made public. Guzman was shot after she threatened officers with a knife. The video, however, shows the officers approaching Guzman and shooting almost immediately without first trying to subdue her with non-lethal methods.
- The jury has begun deliberating in the case of Philadelphia Officers Sean McKnight and Kevin Robinson charged with the assault of Najee Rivera. A security video shows the officers beating Rivera after he fled a traffic stop on his scooter, leaving him badly injured.
- Gallatin, TN, authorities released a video showing the police shooting of Laronda Sweatt on Wednesday. Sweatt was shot by Officer James Spray after she approached him wielding an ax. Sweatt’s daughter claims the video was edited and the full version would show Sweatt being provoked.
- Two San Francisco officers shot and killed an unidentified Latino man on Thursday after he refused to obey commands to drop a knife he was holding.
